Hi folks,
I just wanted to let you know, that upgrading worked fine with the
--no-kernel option. I replaced
/usr/lib/python3.4/site-packages/dnf-plugins/system_upgrade.py with this
one
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wgwoods/dnf-plugin-system-upgrade/master/system_upgrade.py
and used the hidden --no-kernel option to skip the kernel check. After
the upgrade a new system_upgrade.py will be in
/usr/lib/python3.5/site-packages/dnf-plugins/ folder, so you don't need
to worry about the original F23 one. The upgrade took about 2.5 hours on
my test system (installed with Fedora-Server-armhfp-23-10-sda.raw.xz
image, no additional packages).
Yesterday, I mailed with Paul Whalen. He will give me the current image
for the Raspberry Pi 2, when he finds some thime. After I've taken a
look at it on my Test Pi I'll try to migrate to the official Fedora
kernel packages and provide you with some information here (if I don't
forget). Suggestions and help are very welcome of course :)
Also, is anyone on this list responsible for the Raspberry Pi Wiki entry
(https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi)? Imho it'd be a good idea
to update it with some information about upgrading :)
@Will:
Thank you for the patch!
Daniel

Will just added a --no-kernel option to system-upgrade plugin in his
private repo: https://github.com/wgwoods/dnf-plugin-system-upgrade. I'll
try that and let you know if upgrading worked.

Hi folks,
I've installed Fedora 23 on a Raspberry Pi 2 as described here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
Has anyone already done an upgrade to Fedora 24 on such an installation?
dnf system-upgrade found no new kernel packages and ran into an error.
I'd be happy if anyone shared their experience or ideas.
Cheers
Daniel
